Day 14 of “A Christmas card a Day in November” goal!

Good afternoon Friends,

I have created early today. So I figured that I would post for you all early. I hope you like today’s card.

Day 14:

I have used the retired stamp set “City of David” today. I used Whisper White CS. I then used my SU “Spritzer” and stuck in a “Pool Party” marker, and then a “Basic Grey” marker and spritzed my back ground. I used a large circle punch and punched it from my card base. On another piece of Whisper White CS I black heat embossed the stamp, and colored it in with Copic markers. For the sky I used my SU Sponge Daubers #102892, with Pool Party and Basic Grey ink. Added an SU rhinestone to the star. Then I glued that panel to the inside of the card so the stamped image would show. I fussy cut my people out and glued them down. The sentiment was black embossed as well.

Sponge Daubers

Here is the inside of my card. I used Basic Black for the inside sentiment. That DSP is from stash. I used the Top Note die cut#113463 and sponged the edges w/ ColorBox’s Chestnut Roan chalk ink.

I forgot to show you all another one of my make and takes from Violette’s when me and my step-mom went for their Open House.

This is a mason jar, we took off the lid it came with, and they gave us this really cool replacement lid. On top it has a place where you can slid in something like a tag in this example, or a card. Or another idea they said; is to use these as place markers at dinner. The replacement lids are $5 each. I wont be using it for that. However, I do like this idea. On the underneath there is a hook for hanging something.

  1. Of course I love this one the most. And I have to tell you that the background looks like granite. You did a fantastic job! Love your make & take as well. I’m so proud of you! 🙂 Hugs~Patti

  2. Lovely card both inside and out, Kristy. Adorable altered jar, too. Have been loving all you stuff, but so far my fave is from Day 8 with the snowflake and banners. Simple but oh so elegant. xxD
