Good afternoon crafty people,

I would like to share a card that I made for Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog: #429 – A Sketch by Judy

I followed their sketch:

I used the Stampin’ Up set called “This Little Piggy.” I personally adore this stamp set, and totally have not used it much.  Stamped it onto Kraft card stock and colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. Dies by Sizzix. Embossing folder by Cuttlebug.

Thanks for poppin’ in! Stay safe, stay home and do art!

Thank you for your comments.

Need a Squeeze?

Good afternoon crafty friends,

I just finished this Birthday card today. I think it turned out so cute!

I would like to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: “Anything Goes.”

I colored my lemons by FSJ with Copic markers. The 2 sentiments are from Unity Stamp Co.

I used the shaker window and die set by Close to my Heart. Papers are from FSJ. Card dies are from Sizzix.

The contents in the window are “Slice-fettie” and it’s also from FSJ.

I personally just love how this looks in person, so fun!

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your comments.

Stay safe, stay healthy!

Blueprint Easter cards today

Hi there I have started on my Easter card making. I have done 3 so far.

I would like to enter these cards into theSimon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge “Use Some Green.”

I used the rubber stamp set by Tim Holtz called “Easter Blueprints.”  I black heat embossed them onto Tim Holtz paper pad called, “Kraft Resist Paper Stash.” For the card with the brown bunny I colored it with my Jane Davenport Magic Wand color pencils. For the 2 white bunny cards I used a white color pencil, then watercolors fro the blue and green. I added some green and white twine. The printed cardstock is from Bo Bunny, and the card base was a kraft card and envelope set.

Thank you for stopping by today. Thank you for your comments.

Stay crafty my friends.

Go Green AJ pages

Hello there crafty friends,

I have a 2 page spread in my 5X8 Dylusions journal to share with you today.

I would like to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: A Bit O’ Green.

Yesterday, I was in the mood for green! So I got out my “Ranger 3pk Gel Printing Plates.” I used the 3 1/2 x 7 plate and added Dylusions paint in “Cut Grass,” to it and stamped it with a rubber stamp that says “May the road rise up to meet you…” I then stamped it with 2 different clover stamps, then placed it in my journal. I then realized duh… the words come out backwards when done that way. So I used black ink and stamped over the sentiment once dry. For the right side of the book: I used the same Gel plate but added 3 different green Dylusions paint: Chopped Pesto, Dirty Martini, and Cut Grass. I stamped onto that with the smaller clover stamp and stamped off onto the left side of the book. Because, I had too much paint on my Gel Plate it didn’t give much of an impression to the page once I applied the Gel Plate.

The words: Spring and March 2020 I cut from a woman’s clothing magazine that had just arrived yesterday.  The Green drink I cut from an older People magazine. It was just so green I had to cut it out and use it for my AJ page. The egg in the circle is a sticker from Graphic 45 collection “Botanical Tea.” The Go Green stamp is from Unity, that was sent to me from a “grab bag.”

While looking through my collection of magazines I saw that “The Queen of Green” and cut it out. Then looking through an entirely different magazine I found that image of the Queen of England!! WOW!! Right!! And what’s trippin’ amazing to me is that she is in GREEN!! WOW!! She had some words on her chest that I decided to cover with one of Tim Holtz Ephemera butterflies. The 2 cut out clovers are from that woman’s clothing mag. The circle butterfly, Tea Party, and the green scallop at the top is from Graphic 45 “Botanical Garden” collection.

My Jane Davenport, “Sun Flower Journal” die cut flower,  was cut with neon green card stock, the stem and leaves were cut out of 2 different colors of green card stock.

I had fun getting green! Thank you for stopping by today. Thank you for your comments.

Stay crafty my friends.

SSS Use Some Green

Good morning friends,

I have a double page spread in my Dylusions large journal book to share with you all today.

I have used “Some Green” and would like to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog: “Use Some Green.”

Here is the left side of the book:

The background started off as wipe offs from my brayer when using my Gel Press.  Later on I added Dylusions paint and my round Gel Press and various Dylusions stencils.

I opened up my package Grungeboard by Tim Holtz. The paper that come with it was fascinating to me, and I immediately thought to myself that I need to put this in my Journal book. So that is what I did last night and I pulled out my container filled with Tim Holtz pre-cut outs of  “Paper Dolls,” and the “Botanical Layers” cut-outs. I did the right side of my book first, however I am showing the left side first.

The banner is a left over from making the Dylusions Tag blogged HERE. The GREEN leaves on the right side of this page is leftovers from this Tag blogged HERE. The tiny house at the bottom right is from Dylusions stamp set “This Old House,” colored with Copic markers. The flower on top of the woman’s head is from a Dylusions clear stamp.

Now for the Right side of the book:

There is the paper insert from my Grungeboard package!! Don’t you just love it!! It has the definition and then that beautiful swirl on the left! Yikes! It’s just yummy!

I used 6 different Tim Holtz cut-outs on here and the thick die by TH called “Honeycomb.” The BG was brayer wipe-offs, then random stencils added using Dylusions paints.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and thank you for leaving me comments.

Stay crafty! And come share with me your art style on my Facebook group!

Tag for a Birthday with Dylusions

Good morning friends,

Yesterday I posted a Birthday Tag, and today I have another Birthday Tag to share with you that I made last night. I am having a tag obsession currently.  I don’t really make lots of tags, but they sure are fun to create on!

I used GREEN because at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog the new challenge is to use  “A Bit O’ Green.” I would like to enter my Birthday Tag in to that challenge.

Here is my Tag:

I have used LOTS of different Dylusions‘ stamp set on this tag!

For the background I sponged on Dylusions paint: Crushed Grape, and Bubble Gum. Then I sponged on Lemon Zest with the Dylusions stencil Starry Night. With the Dylusions stencil Alphabet Border, and a Sharpie I made those black squares.

For the leaves on the left I used Green scrapbook paper and a clear Dylusions stamp set shown in the photo below.  I added some Green flowers for fun. I outlined the flowers with Stickles, but I didn’t see enough glitter so I add some loose “Moon glitter” to it.

I stamped the face from Curioius Corrin onto X-Press It, and colored it with Copic markers.  I used the flower looking image from Doodle Parts, stamped it 3 times on X-Press It, and colored it with Copics, I used browns because I wanted it to represent hair. The center was colored with Copic’s Neon Pink then added Stickles followed by loose “Moon glitter,” that’s her Birthday Tiara!

Her party dress was stamped and black heat embossed onto Yupo that has Tim Holtz’ Alcohol Inks on it. Using the Dylusions stamp set Passage of Time. I stamped the stamp again, onto X-Press It, and colored her arms and chest with Copics then fussy cut those out.

The legs are from the Dylusions stamp set Legs Eleven,  this was also stamped onto blending card and colored with my Neon Green Copic marker. The shoes colored with the Neon Pink Copic.

The adorable bugs (I am so crushing on these bugs, I just love them!) are from the newest Dylusions stamp set Toadstool Town.  Also colored w/ Copics. The sentiment is from a clear set, w/ no name on it?

Dylusions Birthday Tag

Good morning,

I would like to share with you a Tag that I made for my friend’s birthday. I thought a tag would be a fun change to a birthday card.

I would like to enter my tag in to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge “Something Feminine.”

To create this tag I started off with using Dylusions paints in the colors: London Blue, Campso Teal, and Vibrant Turquoise. I sponged these 3 colors, then I used a Large Dylusions stencil with the colors: Lemon Zest, and Peony Blush. I used the numbers from the stencil and put it in the center of the tag, which I ended up covering. I should not have done that but oh well now.

I stamped the Cat head from The Fancy Four and the Dress and Bow from Couture Collection, onto X-Press It paper and colored it with Copic Sketch markers.

For the Butterfly wings from Flight of Fancy clear, I had a piece of Brea Reese yupo paper that I did using Brea Rsese Alcohol Inks. I was curious about the colors and her paper. In my personal opinion… I do not like the inks nor do I like that paper, it does not work like the TH Alcohol inks. I will not purchase again. However, I like this piece I did and used for her wings. Here is a photo of that paper: brea-reese

I stamped the banner from Bags of Bunting, onto a piece of TH Glossy CS that I used TH Alcohol Inks on. th-a-ink

The mushrooms at the bottom are from Toadstool Town, so is that cute bee at the top. I stamped the shrooms onto a piece of TH Glossy CS that I used TH Alcohol Inks on, then detail cut each one out. Here is what that piece of paper looked like: th-ink  I stamped the toadstool’s using some green Dylusions ink onto the tag, then added the cut out ones on top with foam squares.  The sentiment is from an old FSJ stamp set.

Here are some photos of my supplies used:

Thank you for your visit and your comments. I personally had a fun time creating this crazy tag. I hope my friend likes it.

Stay crafty my friends.

Art Journal Page

I have an art journal page to share with you all. This page was inspired by Frida Kahlo’s diary page. In Jane Davenport’s Facebook group she is doing #FridaUARY all month long. It is prompts inspired by Frida Kahlo. The name of this prompt was simply “Frida’s Diary.”  So I googled those words and found a page that inspired me to paint and color this page:

This is in my Jane Davenport art journal book.  6x9 The cover is also by JD.

I first painted the page with JD Match Maker acrylic paint found at SSS here.

Then I stamped the faces from JD-049 found at SSS here.

I used the Ultimate Pens in the colors: Aquadisiac, Made in the Suede, Thriller Jacket, & Daisy Dukes. I also used JD’s “Magic Wand” coloring pencils found at SSS here.

For the cheeks and eye shadows I used Birthday Suit and Mineral Eyes.

The tiny faces are from JD’s “Tin of Friends” found at SSS here.

Here is the page I took inspiration from:

323739 Frida Kahlo’s diary page.

All of these faces look like her husband Diego to me. Did you spot my one different Frida face on my page?

I would like to enter my Art Journal page onto Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog Wednesday Challenge:  for the “Anything Goes,”  challenge.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your comments.

Stay Crafty!

Birthday Song

Good evening crafty friends,

I have a birthday card to share with you all tonight. Tomorrow is my friend’s birthday and being inspired by “Simon Say’s Stamp blog” Monday’s challenge “Inspired by Music” I created this card:

I cut out printed paper by DCWV, and some glitter paper with Dotted Sizzix  dies.

I cut the branch from my Starbucks coffee wrapper with the Tim Holtz “Branch Tree” thick die.

The bird was stamped onto X-Press It blending card, and colored with Copic markers.

I used Jane Davenports Blue Marlin Squid ink.

Thank you for stopping by, and thank you for your comments.

Stay crafty!

Jane Davenport Fridauary 2020

Good afternoon crafty friends,

I follow Jane Davenport, mostly on Facebook; and this month’s prompts are on the artist/ activist Frida Kahlo. So February is called “Fridauary,” cute name right! Here is her list of prompts:

84350254_10158091171444579_3990830031726182400_o  I have prompt #1 and #3 to share with you today.

Here is Prompt #1 Frida Kahlo (side note I think Jane Davenport had the koala she rescued in mind for prompt one, here is her story on that: click me.) I am not sure, but here is MY interpretation on the prompts:

I used Jane Davenport’s Face Charts called: “I came, I saw, I contoured.” I colored the face with her “Magic Wand pencils.” The flowers were stamped w/ “Build-A-Bouquet,”and colored with Copic Sketch markers.

As another side note: I absolutely LOVE these colored pencils!! I have 3 other allegedly high quality brands, and I really hate using them. My hand fatigue easily using them. I can not get them to blend either. My coloring always turns out awful. HOWEVER, these Magic Wand pencils are creamy, dreamy, and they blend. I am not saying I am great at coloring, by any means, and you might not even like my coloring of my Frida version. But, I do, and I enjoyed the process. (First time trying, w/ practice I’ll get better.)

Prompt #3 “La Casa Azul”

For this prompt, I had this page with blue paint on it already, in my JD Art Journal Book. It was a roll off of my brayer, when I mixed JD paints on my Geli Plate for a card.

I went to youtube and watched a few of the home tours to get familiar with this prompt. I found this photo on the web and it inspired me to paint this portion of Frida’s house.

I first drew in my image before I colored it: RDMFK

I used JD’s acrylic paints and her pens to finish it off:

suppliesmfk I used a rubber stamp from Dylusions stamped in the green acrylic paint, for the leaves from the tree.

Drawing and painting in this manner is out of my comfort zone, however I love learning and growing  with in myself, in my art.

I used Jane Davenport’s washi tape to “tip in” my face chart.  *Tip in, is a term used when adding in pages, pictures, papers, etc…. to a journal, bible, etc..

Thank you for stopping by, If you left me a comment, Thank you!!
