Julie Nutting Prima Dolls on beautiful canvas!

Standard

Good afternoon Friends,

I have created 2 8×10 canvas pieces for my room.

Here is the first one I did:

Rita-Sophistication

I have used a Julie Nutting Prima Doll named “Rita.Rita now has some matching Dies, however I don’t have them, I just fussy cut out all my pieces.  I have used the newly released “French Flea Market” 6×6 paper pad from Julie Nutting Prima brand. I used 3 different prints from the paper pad to complete her outfit. I used the script paper in the pack for her skin, followed by using the Prima watercolor pencils for skin highlights. The dress/outfit was highlighted using Copic Sketch markers.

The frame is from Micheal’s. I stripped it down, then used Guesso and then painted it with acrylic paint from Fun Stampers Journey in “River Stone.” The sentiment was printed from my computer onto some stash paper.

For the canvas, I used 2 different stencils called “Bubble-Bubble,” and “Ring Stacks.” and Journey Modeling Paste from Fun Stampers Journey. I then use the Journey Gesso to paint over it all. Once dry I sprayed the canvas with Color Splash in the following colors: “Blue Lagoon,” “Cool Pool,” and “Silver.”

The canvas is layered with cheesecloth, flowers, leaves, buttons, and rhinestones,

I used 2 dies from Fun Stampers Journey: “Border Details Die Set,” and “Bloom Cluster Die. ” I also used some Silk in Cool Pool and Silver from FSJ.

On the lower left, I added in two Hat Pins, that I created from beads from JoAnn’s.

Here is the 2nd 8×10 canvas I did:

be-yourself

I have used the Julie Nutting Prima Doll called “Kate.” I have used the newly released “French Flea Market” 6×6 paper pad from Julie Nutting Prima brand. I used 3 different prints from the paper pad to complete her outfit. From the same paper pad, I used the Bingo paper for her skin. I did my highlights using Copic Sketch markers.

Flowers, buttons, rhinestones, burlap dolie, cheese cloth, bird, lace, and feathers from stash. The frame is from Micheal’s, that I Guesso’ed, then painted using Fun Stampers Journey acrylic paint in “River Stone, “Cool Pool,” and “Blue Lagoon.” On the frame I added a set of clear resin wings w/ a flower. The sentiment was printed from my computer onto “Patterned Paper” from FSJ.

I also added 3 sets (of 2) gold stems from Fun Stampers Journey called “Gold Elements.”

For the back ground of the canvas I first applied  Journey Modeling Paste from Fun Stampers Journey, using 2 different stencils called “Bloom Wall,” and “Falling Petals.” I then sprayed the canvas with Color Splashes from FSJ in: “Blue Lagoon,” “Cool Pool,” and “Sour Lemon.” For the top, after everything was glued on I flicked Silk in: “Cool Pool,” “Silver,” “Electric Lime,” and “Sour Lemon.”

A French Lacy Sunshine Pocket Letter for Christmas

Standard

Good afternoon,

I have a French themed, Lacy Sunshine Pocket Letter to share with you today.

PL-got-MIL-2015

I have used a digital stamp on the front from “Lacy Sunshine.”

I colored the skin and hair with Copic Sketch markers, and then paper pieced the rest; using Graphic 45 DSP. Also G-45 papers inside the pockets.  I added Christmas stickers from stash.

The Poinsettia is a big Die cut from “Fun Stampers Journey,” I also used their Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Dust. The Eiffel Tower is a thin die cut, also from FSJ. I used gold embossing powder on it.

I created the hat pin, beads from Micheal’s.

I would like to enter my Pocket Letter into Lacy Sunshine’s Challenge blog, CH# 74.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your comments! Stay Crafty my Friends!

Fun Stampers Journey’s Kit of the Month cards for November!

Standard

Good afternoon Friends,

I have been playing with “Fun Stampers Journey’s” Kit of the Month cards.

November kotm

FSJ gives you four packets full of embellishments, card stock, everything you need!

Here is my first one:

Strawberries

I almost followed the directions, I like to add my own twist sometimes while making these Kit of the Month cards. I added “Journey Glaze Item #: AD-0002″ and “Journey Sparkle Dust Item #: AC-0013″ to the jar.

My next card:

Brighter

I personally didn’t want the bow made out of Journey Twine to the right of the card like it is in the photo. So I made a bow and w/ a FSJ glue dot put it in the center of the lid.

I used the “Journey Glaze Item #: AD-0002″ to adhere the sequence that came with the kit.

Then I played around w/ this one:

Spoon-full-of-sugar

I do like this one, and I am glad I got to play around with this kit, because for this card you stamp the jar onto the “Journey Basics Item #: PP-0003″ patterned paper but not the lid. then stamp the entire jar stamp onto the White CS and cut around it away from the edges. The yellow paper gets cut close. “The Citrus Cooler Item #: CS-0089″ CS is popped up on pop dots so is the jar.

Here is my last card:

Stars

In the kit photo, they have where the main image is sideways a bit. I decided to make it (Some what) straight.  Actually that’s pretty straight for me. 🙂

Now by making these 4 cards I have all kinds of ideas for making other cards using this set. I want to add buttons, some FSJ “Holiday Elements Item #: AC-0116″ for a Christmas card. My buddy Patti, gave me some tiny clay cutters of a Christmas Tree and a Gingerbread Man, I think would be fun to put in the jar. So much more could be in the jar as well.

Here is all 4 cards together:

November-all-4

Here is the stamp set:

NOV-KOTM-Homemade

This is an 11 piece set! This set could be made to look Christmasy’ or country with “Jams” or just friendly by adding a card to a Mason Jar Gift!
