I just got done taking some photos of a multi media project I just finished. A friend of mine, recently lost his wife. She had a spine disorder and went in for a pain shot and never left the hospital. She did however have a long and wonder life.
At the memorial the Pastor said when him and his wife visited my friend in the hospital they were leaving and he found a fork while walking to their car. The Pastor told the story of the “The best is yet to come.” “A lady who was dying and asked her pastor to bury her with a fork.” That gave me an idea to make this project for my friend. And of course I do hope he likes it.
I used a 8×10 canvas from Micheal’s. I started w/ the background and using polymer clay I pressed 3 pieces onto different embossing folders. I placed them in the top right and left corners, and the 3rd is on the bottom right.
Using molds and Sclupy polymer clay I made the letters, cherubs, face, heart and butterflies. The fish cross and frame are resin. The top cross is wood. The top 3 flowers are buttons, and the bottom 3 flowers are Prima. The leaves are fabric, the vines underneath are cardstock and Heartfelt Creations dies. The bottom right corner is a metal piece so is the pieces on the bottom part of the fork, which is also metal. I tried using the Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Ingredients Stones, for the first time.
I used Black Gesso, then metallic Rubz.
To finish it off I splattered it with black and white Gesso, and sprayed it with at sealer.
Thank you for stopping by, let me know what you think.
