Halloween, my favorite Holiday!

Standard

I have been making some Halloween cards. I recently bought some new red rubber stamps from “Fun Stampers Journey” and I am just loving these charters! So fun!

So here are my cards,(and yes I am mailing them out to people.) I plan on making lots of Halloween cards, and yes I know I need to get in gear on getting them done!!

cast-A-spell-7-13-2016

This card here is my first for this year. I have used the Fun Stampers Journey stamp set called “Witches Brew” item# [SS-0388.] I stamped them with “Black Licorice” then colored them up with Copics Sketch markers. I cut out my stamped images with my brother Scan n Cut 2 and a craft knife on spots. All 3 of the images are popped up on foam dots, I also popped up the printed paper. Here is what the full stamp set looks like:

The patterned paper is also from Fun Stampers Journey. It’s called “Halloween Prints”  item [PP-0035.] For the sentiment I stamped with the “Clear Pigment Ink” item# [IP-0102] and then used “White Embossing powder” item [IP-0098.] For finishing touches I added some “Candy Dots” and then used the new neon “Sour Lemon Silk” item [IP-0110] (that is the splotchy looking effect in the back ground.) This is what it looks like:

On this card I dug through some of my last year’s Halloween stash. I still used the stamp set called “Witches Brew” item# [SS-0388.] And I colored the 3 images with Copic markers. Does not show up at all in the photo but I painted on the bodice, skirt, and shoes with “Wink of Stella” in Clear. This leaves a lovely light glittery look w/o being overwhelming. The printed paper is from MS, the card base is Black Licorice from FSJ so is the “Electric Lime” neon card stock behind the witch and familiars. I used foam dots on the 3 images. The Bewitched sentiment is from Julie Nutting’s new Halloween collection of papers.

Can you tell I am loving this new witch set? Yes here is another card using the stamp set “Witches Brew” item# [SS-0388.] Also colored with Copic Sketch markers. The 3 images are popped up on foam squares so is the top layer of patterned paper from Martha Stewart. I again used “Wink of Stella” in Clear on the  bodice, skirt, and shoes, and even on the orb.

The 2 flags on the left and the sentiment are stickers from Julie Nutting’s new Halloween collection of papers. To make my ovals with the pierced edging I have used “Journey Ovals” item [DI-0042] You get the cutting die and also the piercing die to layer together to create wonderful projects.

This is my 4th and final Halloween card for tonight. My stamped image is popped up on foam dots. She is colored with Copics. Also cut w/ my Scan n Cut 2. This image is from the stamp set called “Spooktacular Monsters” item [SS-0391] This is what the full stamp set looks like:

I created the back ground using Pan Pastels, from Fun Stampers Journey. After I punched out my moon, I added some PanPastels to it also, then popped it up.

For the trees I used the die called “Winter Hills” item [DI-0249] I did brush some Silver PanPastel on top of the trees. Then added 3 in 3 different sizes “Rainbow Drops” in red item [AC-0178.] This is what they look like:

Witch Hats!

Standard

Good morning,

Two days until Halloween! WOW time is a flying… (Pun intended

I have 2 Witch hat that I picked up at Michael’s an then altered them.

Here is the first one I did:

Witch-hat-for-Sue-2015

The metallic tulle is from JoAnn’s, I sowed it to the felt hat. The flower is white felt from a bulk roll at JoAnn’s, I used a Sizziz Bigz Die to cut the flower rolled it and hot glued it to it’s self to keep the flower together I used a SU circle punch of thin cardboard. The center is a big brad.

I created the hat pin and of course had to ad a spider charm. (Beads from Michael’s.)

I created this for my friend Sue. I was at JoAnn’s one day and they had some owl cages on clearance so I picked one up for her and me. A few days later I was at Micheal’s and saw the plain witch hats and thought it would look great decorated and placed onto of the owls for the season.

Now she wants a Santa hat for it. 🙂

Here is the one I did for myself:

The sparkling black trim on the edge is from stash, I sowed it down. The band is trim I picked up for this hat from JoAnn’s. I could not find purple, so I got off white, put it in a zippy with Tim Holtz’ new purple re-inker and water. Line dryed.

After sowing on the purple band, I found a light purple flower in my stash, but needed it to me more purple, so I sprayed it w/ TH’s new purple spray inks, heavily.  The cameo is from stash and glued on with Journey Glaze.

I made the hat pin for this one too. (Beads from Michael’s.)

Here is the full pic of this owl:

Beetle-juice-SSs-Oh-the-HorBeetlejuice-SSs-OhtheHor-in

Good after noon friends,

I have made a card for Smeared and Smudge’s “Oh the Horror” challenge. This month the theme is Beetle Juice the movie.

The main image is from Graphic 45’s new Steampunk Spells paper, I cut it out, and then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz’s distress ink, in Vintage Photo. The puff sticker eyes are from Recollections. I used a Stampin’ Up bat punch and DCWV paper. The sentiments on the front and inside is from the “Wicked Cool” stamp set by Stampin’ Up! The spider web embossing folder is also from SU.

If you would like to play along in this challenge then click this! At the end of the month all player’s names are put into Random.org and one person will win a prize. This month the sponsor is Rick St. Dennis and the winner gets their choice of 3 digis from his Etsy store. Also anyone that plays at least one of the challenges that Smeared and Smudge offers gets one free digi. This month the freebie that is being offered is called Roses.

And, like that is not enough already, they have a challenge called “Freaky Freebie” you get another digi and you get to create with it. That one I am not going to show you, you must go and see it for your self! Click here!
