Good morning friends,

Well I have chosen a small’ish wine bottle:

JF-8-13-altered-wine-bottle

This cute little Love monster is curtsy of Rick St. Dennis. (Follow link to his Etsy store.) I colored him with Prismacolor pencils. I used my Xyron to stick him to the bottle, then I used Crystal Effects on top if it. I added some hot pink bling, a love charm and purple chain. The ribbon is Seam Binding from Stampin’ Up! The skull in top I acquired last year at Halloween time at Micheal’s.

JF-8-13halfside--RSDJF-8-13-opp-halfside-RSD-ssJF-8-13--RSD-AW-backTo cover this bottle I left the cap in, yes it was a screw cap wine bottle. I used 3 different colors of Polymer clay. (I like Sclupy but everyone has their preferences.)  I then made a cane, then sliced the cane, and stuck it on. I then used my acrylic clay roller to smooth it down then baked it. Once cool to the touch I then decorated it.

Thank you for your visit and for your comments. I have left you a link if you would like to play this challenge too, there is a chance at winning 3 digi stamps, of winners choice from “Smeared and Smudge’sThe Challenger sponsor Rick St. Dennis!!!

Also Smeared and Smudge has other challenges on their site, under the Groups button, then The Challenger. There is a freebie stamp to pick up too!!

Hope you like it! Would love to hear well read any thought on this!!

Good after noon friends,

I have made a card for Smeared and Smudge’s “Oh the Horror” challenge. This month the theme is Beetle Juice the movie.

The main image is from Graphic 45’s new Steampunk Spells paper, I cut it out, and then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz’s distress ink, in Vintage Photo. The puff sticker eyes are from Recollections. I used a Stampin’ Up bat punch and DCWV paper. The sentiments on the front and inside is from the “Wicked Cool” stamp set by Stampin’ Up! The spider web embossing folder is also from SU.

If you would like to play along in this challenge then click this! At the end of the month all player’s names are put into Random.org and one person will win a prize. This month the sponsor is Rick St. Dennis and the winner gets their choice of 3 digis from his Etsy store. Also anyone that plays at least one of the challenges that Smeared and Smudge offers gets one free digi. This month the freebie that is being offered is called Roses.

And, like that is not enough already, they have a challenge called “Freaky Freebie” you get another digi and you get to create with it. That one I am not going to show you, you must go and see it for your self! Click here!

SS freebie challenge and FMS86

Standard

Mays-freebie-SS

Good afternoon friends, I would like to show you my card I made with a certain friend in mind. However, I am entering this into 2 challenges.

Over at Smeared and Smudge they are having a month long “Freaky Freebie Challenge.”  (If you follow the link you can get your chance to play with this free digi stamp.) The image this month is from the “Chicks Dig Guns” collection. (Follow that link and you can see the entire collection.)

I am also entering my card into Freshly Made Sketches: challenge “FMS86” this is what the sketch looks like:

FMS Final 86-001

Now for the deets on my card: I used a pre-made card from Micheal’s. Then I used a Flame embossing folder, that I just picked up at the Scrapbook Expo! I used Robin Hood Red ink pad from Stampin’ Up and rubbed it across my embossed white CS. I have no idea where that piece of DP came from? I used some Vintage Lace from Stampin’ Up! On the sketch it has a boarder punch at the bottom, well that is what it looks like to me. Looking at all of my boarder punches I decided on the goo punch w/ Red CS, I went a little macabre he he! I made the flower w/ shear glitter fabric and a heat gun, then added a SU jeweled brad to hold it to the DP. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I popped up the senti with a couple of pop dots from SU. I colored my digi with Copics, and I used Silver Copics on the barrel, and Gold Copics on the one round she is holding. Remember I said I mad this for a friend? Well I thought it would be nice to send her a key-chain. I printed out the caption Chicks Dig Guns onto white CS, then I used Tim Holtz Distressing Paint daubers and colored right over the words, then wiped it off. I then used Crystal Effects to adhere the paper to Tim Holtz plastic charms.  The chain came from Micheal’s. I originally had the key-chain flat, but in the photo you couldn’t see it so I put one of the bullets behind it to prop it up some.

Well that’s it, if you have questions just ask!

Thank you for your visit today, and thank you for your comments!

Peace,

Happy Birthday Susan S!

Standard

Good morning Friends,

Today I am sharing a card and a book mark I made for a friend:

4-SS-HB-13-01

My friend Susan loves Angels so I of course had to make her Birthday card and book mark with an Angel!

The image is from Sweet Pea Stamps “©Rebecca Sinz’s Hope- DIGI” (Follow the link to get yours.)

The word “Angel” if from Smeared Ink’s rubber stamp set called “Heart Wings.” (Follow the link to check out the “Rubber Club.”)

The stamped swirls and the word Blessed on the book mark, is from Stampin’ Up! The “Happy Birthday to you” is also from Stampin’ Up! It is from the new on special set that SU has put together called “Best of Birthdays.” This is the first of 12 stamp sets they are doing for 2013, when you buy 6 you get one free. Click here for deets.

4-SS-HB-13-02

Here is a view of the card by it’s self. The BG paper, I made using the “Shaving Cream” technique. The mustered colored lace is from JoAnn Fabrics. The half pearls are from Martha Stewart. I Blue embossed both sentiments. I colored my image with Copics.  Hair with Prismacolor pencils. Die cut from Spellbinders.

4-SS-HB-13-03

The bookmark came pre-cut. I bought a packet of white bookmarks from Micheal’s. I used various Spray Inks for the background. I stamped the rubber stamps with black Stazon. And colored my image with Copics.

I followed a sketch from “Freshly Made Sketches” challenge FMS73. And I would like to enter the challenge. Here is the Sketch:

Good afternoon friends,

I have been at it again playing in my craft room that is. I have been racking my brain all month to figure out what to do for Smeared and Smudge’s “Junk Funk” challenge. Today is the last day to enter the November “Junk Funk” challenge. The theme is to make something with magazines. So I was flipping through a magazine this morning and came across what I call a Magazine Christmas Tree. Here is my version:

Nov-junk-funk-1

The rules at Smeared and Smudge is that it has to be stamped somewhere. So I used a digi from Rick St. Dennis. “Merry Creepmas” as my topper.

Nov-junk-funk-2

Nov GDT challenge at Smeared and Smudged!

Standard

Good afternoon friends,

I have been in my craft-room playing today and I made a Fat Book page for the GDT challenge at Smeared and Smudged. This month the Spotlight is on PiHi, and her GDT challenge was to come up with something from the song “The Funeral Of Hearts” by “HIM.” Here is a link to the song!

There is a part in the song that says: “When angels cry blood,” So that is why I used an angel, however, I just left the blood out. I was thinking of adding a pool of blood at the bottom of the pillar. However, I really wanted to keep this piece “Pretty.” This is what I came up with:

This is a digital image from Sweet Pea Stamps, they are now getting into digis, they sell rubber as well.  But since I have a lot of there rubber stamps and storage is getting tight I’m going with digis. I colored her with Copics and the hair is Prismacolor pencils and a baby oil blender. I added white Tulip puffy paint for snow, and clear Stickles for glitter on her wings. The two black heart/symbols I retrieved off of the web they are “HIM’s” symbols. I honestly do not know too much about this band, I have heard the name but that’s it, however, I did have a fun time making my piece! I used “Daubours” for my background in Pool Party by SU and Grey by Memento.

I would like to link this up to Show us your Blog by Sweet Pea Stamps.

Thank you for taking the time to visit with me and thank you for your comments.

Peace,

KristyLee

January 2012 Spotlight

Standard

Hi there, today I have something to share with you. I was honored to be a asked to be a “GDT” at Smeared and Smudged. I graciously said yes (of course) so here is a link to my “Spotlight” for January 2012 at “Smeared and Smudged.”

I am hosting the January GDT Challenge! So come check it out! Here is the project that I made for the Challenge:

Baby-New-Year

Baby-New-Year

The stamp is a digi freebie from TLC Creations. I used DWC’s DP and covered a “Chip-board album” it has glitter on the paper. I used Cotton Candy & yellow Stickles on the flowers that were given to me as part of some great goodies in my Secret Santa gift.  I used he “Tiny leaves’ die by SU. I hot glued the pink ribbon on the back as the “Frame” for the piece. Then using the same DP I cut a piece to fit the back, glued it down, to finish it off.

Smeared and Smudged has a challenge blog called “Smudgy Antic’s” so if you want to check out another great challenge click here.

Thank you for your visit, and thank you for your comments!
