Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas Secret Sister

Standard

Good morning I wanted to share with you all two Multi Media projects I have created recently. The first photo is the canvas I created and mailed out to my Secret Sister for Christmas 2018. The second canvas is one I made for a different friend. I showed her the one I made for my Secret Sister and she said she loved it so much and that she would love to have one. So for her November birthday I made her one also.

SS-MM-18-KKFR.jpgMy SS said that she would love something to hang in her newly remolded craft room. So I created this 8×10 canvas project.

For the background I used 3 different stencils and textured paste.

This is a real paint brush. The “ART” is wood. I used molds and polymer clay to make the 3 faces, wings, flower, and mushroom. The skeleton hand, and star is resin. I used cardstock and a flower die and created the 3 flowers in the left side. The leaves are fabric. Metal pieces on the top left corner, top right corner, and bottom right corner, the long piece on the paint brush and above the larger face. The pocket watch and 3 cogs at the bottom are metal also. After adhering all my pieces with textured paste, I paint it with Black Gesso, and then added”Inka Gold” and  Rubz to the top. To finish it off, I splattered white and black Gesso, Bronze, Gold, and Silver Silk. Then sprayed sealer.

This 8×10 canvas was created for my other friend for her birthday.

For the background I used a brick stencil and textured paste. The “ART” is wood. I wrapped lace around the paint brush handle. Using Sclupy Polymer clay and molds I created the butterflies, face, and wings. The frame, crown, fish, and the filigree on the top right corner. The tulle is from JoAnn’s Fabrics.  Using dies and cardstock, I created the 3 flowers and the vines. The arrow and the owl face is a Tim Holtz metal charm. The purple glitter at the bottom of the paint brush is Stickles. I painted with “Inka Gold” brand metallic rubbing paints and also Rubz. Then spray sealed it. She loves it she said, so did everyone at the dinner party that night.

Let me know what you think.

Witch Hats!

Standard

Good morning,

Two days until Halloween! WOW time is a flying… (Pun intended

I have 2 Witch hat that I picked up at Michael’s an then altered them.

Here is the first one I did:

Witch-hat-for-Sue-2015

The metallic tulle is from JoAnn’s, I sowed it to the felt hat. The flower is white felt from a bulk roll at JoAnn’s, I used a Sizziz Bigz Die to cut the flower rolled it and hot glued it to it’s self to keep the flower together I used a SU circle punch of thin cardboard. The center is a big brad.

I created the hat pin and of course had to ad a spider charm. (Beads from Michael’s.)

I created this for my friend Sue. I was at JoAnn’s one day and they had some owl cages on clearance so I picked one up for her and me. A few days later I was at Micheal’s and saw the plain witch hats and thought it would look great decorated and placed onto of the owls for the season.

Witch-hat-for-Sue-on-owl

Now she wants a Santa hat for it. 🙂

Here is the one I did for myself:

mine-Oct-15-close-up

The sparkling black trim on the edge is from stash, I sowed it down. The band is trim I picked up for this hat from JoAnn’s. I could not find purple, so I got off white, put it in a zippy with Tim Holtz’ new purple re-inker and water. Line dryed.

After sowing on the purple band, I found a light purple flower in my stash, but needed it to me more purple, so I sprayed it w/ TH’s new purple spray inks, heavily.  The cameo is from stash and glued on with Journey Glaze.

I made the hat pin for this one too. (Beads from Michael’s.)

Here is the full pic of this owl:

You Wood Do That! Haunted Design House!

Standard

Good afternoon Friends,

I wood like to share my “Wood” project with you all. Over at the “Haunted Design House” challenge blog their theme is “Wood.”

So here is my creation:

front-1-wood-challenge

I covered a curio cabinet with Graphic 45 paper. The lace trim behind the ornament is from Stampin Up!

To make this ornament I used “Crowned Angel Pendant” from A Gilded Life. They are a new company from Spellbinders. I put metallic Rubz, rhinestones from SU, half pearls from Pizazz A Plenty, and Journey Sparkle Glitter. I sealed it with Journey Glaze. I used metallic Rubz on the metal flower behind the Angel. The lace is from stash, that I glued to a circle punch out of cardstock. I used Tim Holtz’ “Vintage Photo” ink on it to Age it.

frontowlclay-hdh-wood-chall

I used a Martha Stewart clay mold for the owl. I then put on Rubz, Journey Glitter and to seal it I used Journey Glaze.

frontskulls-wood-ch-hdh

This is the center of the cabinet. The top Skull Key I received from Lisa Hall, long time ago. The center skull is glass and I received it from Creepy Glowbugg. The bottom one is from Micheal’s it’s a Tim Holtz.  You can see more of the paper here. I used the Halloween stack “Steampunk Spells.”

Left side of cabinet. I do not remember where I got the corner pieces? But the glitter half moon and star was a Jolee’s from Micheal’s.

right-side-hdh-wood-challen  This is the right side of the cabinet.  The gold glitter flourish is a Jolee’s as well.

I bought this ornate scissor charm from “Violet’s Scrapbook” store. I don’t remember on the moon charm?

Here is the finished piece hanging on my wall. You can see my chunky wood Poe ATC up there, and my covered book that I made in Texas with Patti, at a Spellbinders class.

I first sanded down the cabinet, then painted it black. After I Mode Podged the papers on, I used a Stampin’ Up! sander to sand down all of the edges and on the wood to remove and scuff up the wood. Then used Tim Holtz’ “Vintage photo” ink on the edges of the paper and on the scuffed wood. I replaced the handle on the drawer with a knob from Lowe’s.

To the DT’s at HDH, I hope this is not to frilly for ya, and makes you throw-up! 🙂

I would like to enter my altered wood cabinet into:

Blinged out Easter Egg using Sparkle N Sprinkle’s Velvet glitter!

Standard

Good evening my Friends,

My friend Patti came over to visit me for a week, during one of the days she was here we went to my LSS called “Sparkle N Sprinkle,” okay actually it’s not really local, it is about a 3 hour drive one way. But so worth the drive, I love that store, but I get into trouble there. LOL! Well Patti and I took a class called “Glitter and Flocking.” We learned lots of neat things, and we even made a reference book. SNS sells this wonderful tape, it’s strong and comes in several sizes. After leaving the class we went to Micheal’s and I bought a bag of paper mache eggs…..

This is what happens when you have lots of glitter and tape!

SNS-glitter-n-tape-egg

I added tape and glitter all around my egg. I then used a Tim Holtz small screw w/ an O and screwed in the screw part, on top then added ribbon from stash, and did the same for the bottom of the egg, but attached chain with a jump ring, and also used jump rings for the 2 beads and the Cross.  The plastic baby chicken deco, I picked up last year, it’s from Recollections.

Check out “Sparkle N Sprinkle,” for all of your glitter, flocking, embossing needs. Plus they do have rubber stamps. And so so much more!

Thank you for your visit and for your comments! Stay Crafty my Friends!

Good after noon friends,

I have made a card for Smeared and Smudge’s “Oh the Horror” challenge. This month the theme is Beetle Juice the movie.

The puff sticker eyes are from Recollections. I used a Stampin’ Up bat punch and DCWV paper. The sentiments on the front and inside is from the “Wicked Cool” stamp set by Stampin’ Up! The spider web embossing folder is also from SU.

Hello friends,

Rick St. Dennis is giving away some digis this month if you make something with it.

I have used the freebie “Summer Fairy” to make a Tag.

RSD-TAG-July-freebieI colored the digi with Copics. For the BG I used Tim Holtz’s Distress Paint daubers, the rubber criss cross stamp from Smeared Ink, and copper and silver “Rubz.”

The lace strips are from stash. The sentiment is from “Create with TLC” I punched it out with an SU punch, and used and SU stamp on it. I added Stickles to the Fairy.

I am entering this tag into “Sparkle and Glitter the Rick St. Dennis challenge blog.”

Leia-chalkChalk writing out side!! Boy did Leia have fun with the chalk! LOOK how she holds the chalk! Just like when she “Writes” and colors in her books! She is so smart, I know all Grandmas think their grand kids are smart but…. Leia will be 2 on July 28th, and she can count to 10 in English and Spanish!!

Oh, I just saw my face! If you go to http://theunitystampco.blogspot.com/

I think it’s funny because the photo I turned in is not the one they are showing. They must have gone to my Facebook page and took one of the photos of me and my G-baby and cropped her out, because that is the only time I have blond hair. Oh well it all good, the pix they grabbed is a good one so I am not mad or anything. Okay see ya later….

My AIW Collage! Week 4, CHAPTER 11: Stripes! FBC 77

Standard
Alice in Wonderland collage

Alice in Wonderland collage

I have made this collage for a couple of challenges, but mostly because I like making collages and I am an AIW FREAK!!

I have used 2 digis from Fresh Brewed Designs “Wonderland” (It’s the one in the middle) and “Im Late” (It’s the one on the top left corner) The words “Live the life you imagined” and “to be all that is possible, we must attempt the impossible, to be all that we can be, we must dream of being more.” Is from Tim Holtz’s clear rubber stamps. From the “Life’ s Possibilities”  The word “charm” is a Stampin’ Up stamp. I painted the BG canvas w/ acrylic paints. I used a lot of SU punches on this. I used an SU die-cut for my Arizona Iced tea can metal flower. The little bottles I got from “Free Vintage digi stamps blog. Then I used an “AIW” font to type “Drink Me!” I used twine and an eyelet. Sorry I cant remember where I got the penny-farthing White Rabbit? But ant it AWESOME?? I love it!! The “Wonderland” sign is made using my Cricut. I sealed this w/ a new-to-me product called “Collage Pauge” “Instant Decoupage” It says it’s “Designed by Traci Bautista” from the makers of “Aleene’s.” I usually use ModPoge. But I thought I would give this stuff a try because it says it’s water proof. Not that Im going to be spraying my piece w/ water! 😉  So what do you think?

I am entering my AIW Collage into the following challenges:

Fresh Brewed Blog: FBC 77: January month long challenge “Something New” my TH stamps are only a week old!

The Altered Alice: Week 4, CHAPTER 11: Stripes! (I painted in strips, I also added striped DSP next to the White Rabbit.)

Thank you for stoping by today and thank you for your comments!
