Welcome to Challenge #22 “Natural Materials (burlap, twine, cork, twigs, leaves, etc.)”!

Hello, and welcome to some INSPIRATION for Paper Creations Ink’s challenge #22 “Natural Materials (burlap, twine, cork, twigs, leaves, etc.)”!  This challenge will run until Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 6pm CST. And for an added bonus, we will be looking for some works of art to Spotlight! Our Sponsor for this challenge is Shelly’s Images, Shelly (Owner) has so graciously offered a $9.00 Gift Voucher to her online store! Isn’t that an awesome prize for one lucky person?

This is a “Wall Hanging” that I made. The image that was so graciously provide by Shelly, I colored with Prismacolor pencils. I added a tiny black brad for his eye. I sponged “Pool Party” ink around him. I used Spellbinders to cut out the image and the matting. I have used burlap behind my image and then hot glued real bark on here. I tied the burlap around my 3 twigs and hot glued those on too. The BG paper is a tree or bark looking paper from DSWV. I covered a 6×6 piece of chip board and glued the twine to hang it on the wall. I found the butterfly and the swirl in my stash, and thought it looked good on there. What do you think?

Challenge #21 “Things With Wings” at Paper Creations Ink!

 

Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to Challenge #21 “Things With Wings”! We at Paper Creations Ink are still looking forward to Spring! So we decided to have another challenge that had to do with Spring; but it could have a twist of magic or a bit of a fantasy if you like! We hope that you will join us and get your mojo flowing! Just a quick reminder, you are only limited by your imagination! You can use any image for this challenge! We would LOVE to see all types of creations, whether it is a Card, Scrapbook Page, Fat Book Page, Tag, ATC (Artist Trading Card), Box, Bag, 3D ~ Altered Art, or Other Crafting Projects that has some form of paper on it!

 This challenge will run until Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 6pm CST. Please be sure to check the Challenge Page for ALL the guidelines that we have set for our challenges! And for an added bonus, we will be looking for some works of art to Spotlight!

Challenge #20 “Spring Is In The Air”!

Good morning, I have a card to share with you this is my DT card for Paper Creations Ink! We  are being sponsored by Rick St. Dennis   and he was generous and let us DT use some of his digis.  I have used “Easter Bonnet.”  Our challenge going on right now is Challenge #20 “Spring Is In The Air”! You can use any image for this challenge and we would LOVE to see all types of creations (ex. cards, scrap layouts, fat book pages, artist trading cards, tags, boxes, bags, 3D ~ Altered Art or any other crafting projects that have  some form of paper  on them). Paper Creations Ink’s new challenge #19 “Show Us Your Style Using Your Favorite Technique”

Here is my DT technique card, using our sponsor’s (Ike’s Art) image.

I have used “Angles and Demons” donated from Ike’s Art. Get yours here!

The techniques I have use are one, I made a metal flower out of a Sprite soda can, then used TH’s Adirondack alcohol on it, then finished it off w/ a Stampin Up jeweled brad in the center. I have also used Stickles on both sets of wings, and on the flower. Another technique I did is fussy cut out my image. I used flesh color Copic on the Angle and Prismacolor pencils on the demon and both sets of hair.   I used a piece of black lace trim from SU. DSP from DCW.

DT card for Challenge #17 “Love/Romance”! at Paper Creations Ink!

Good Afternoon Everyone! Today is the first day of the NEW challenge at Paper Creations Ink! The theme of Challenge #17 is “LOVE/ROMANCE”! We are so excited to be sponsored by Smeared Ink! They have some awesome edgy, unique, and wild images! We stayed a bit more main stream on our images; but they are sure to please your more wild side! The prize for one lucky person is… A WHOLE DIGI SET OF CHOICE! I think that is awesome! The challenge will run until Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 6pm, so you have some time to get your creations linked up!

I made this card using a digi from Smeared Ink “Smitten-Powder my nose” I coloured my image w/ Stampin’ Up markers. Layered the image on SU’s EF “Vintage Wall Paper” on red CS. Used SU’s lace for accents. The lace was given to me from my SU rep Ree.  DSP from stash. Stamped on SU’s Velum w/ stamp “Punched Potpourri” &  then  punched it out w/ SU’s heart punch, then put a metal love tag w/ SU’s red twin. The heart rhinestones were giving to me by my Secret Santa from TCC.
